Great News!

Yesterday I had my follow-up with Dr. Chahin to discuss the results of my CT scan. And.........the tumor is shrinking! THE CHEMO IS WORKING!!!! The Lord has been good to me. I give him all the credit- thank you Jesus. :) It's going to be a long journey as the amount of shrinkage was not an enormous amount but all I can do is hope for progress and that's happening. They did find a few lesions (cancerous) on my liver which is normal for this type of cancer and Dr. Chahin believes they are small enough the chemo will blast them away. That new information is still really scary- but I have faith the doc knows what he's talking about. We will continue with the same chemo regiment we are doing now and check for progress again in another two months. I'm so ecstatic about the great news but still not looking forward to months of chemo. Chemo is my friend though and I need her- I welcome her with open arms. :)

Saturday night we had a bonfire at the house. Penny and Colin came down for the night and our friends Matt and Jen came over. It was so relaxing.

Sunday afternoon we all went to the beach! The weather was perfect. Penny and I sat under the palm trees and read. Totally what I needed.

Hello Alison,

I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that the tumor is going down in size. That is wonderful to know. I have been praying for you ever since God sent you to me. I was so very happy to get a letter from you today. I checked my mail box and about fell on my butt (tripped on the ground) because I was so glad that you wrote back. I do believe that God put us together for a reason. Your picture of you is amazing (on your blog) you are a beautiful Woman. I pray for you and Thomas everyday. My email address is jsullivan1823@mchsi.com, I put some things in the mail for you today. I will keep checking this website to see how things are coming.

Love,
Angel Marissa

This is the best news I've heard all day! I found you via Penelope, and as strange as it may seem, you're in my thoughts often!! Perhaps it's because my little girl's name is Alison too?

You're in my thoughts and prayers! :)
