It's Me!

Finally- a post from me! Thanks to Thomas for keeping y'all updated during this so very crazy time. I'm feeling a lot better these last few days. It feels so great to be out of the hospital. With two failed attempts to connect to my port (which means a needle being pushed into my chest and not into silicone circle it's supposed to go into- oh so very painful), getting blood taken every 6 hours for 3 days and only in my left arm- which is completely bruised now, to not being able to shower for days on end......I just got out and still have wet hair- the best feeling in the world!!! Oh it's so nice to be home. I had the pump (Becky) removed today so soon the aftermath of chemo will begin. Sore belly, hot fleshes, mood changes.....I'm trying to get use to them all. And lots of meds to help.

I think T and I are going to watch a movie now. The weather is perfect for that. We managed to miss most of the hurricane weather. Just gloomy rain and wind.

Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. xoxo

So glad to peek in and see that you have posted; I can't imagine the relief of having wet hair after days of not taking a shower. Looking forward to see what movie you choose.

Hi stinky,
Just kidding. I'm glad you're feeling better. I never have much to say on these bc we talk so much on the phone, but I just really wanted to say again how amazing you and Tom are. The two of you are stronger and more inspiring than I ever thought possible. Especially real life people and not characters from a Nicholas Sparks novel. Although, I do appreciate several of his works. I'll trade you back the Bee story for the one you're reading now when you're finished. Anyways...you go girl, stay strong, keep it up, do your thang- don't be scurred
Love you
ps "pro-creeit" ha! what about I'm not "shore" and banilla icecream, t.b., and cubbers?

So glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry that things aren't going more smoothly but I hope that with each procedure you are getting closer to beating this.

Sending you more love and good wishes from Colorado. *hug*
