It's Hit Me - Updated

More pictures have been added to the hummingbird slideshow. Check 'em out. The lighting is way mo' betta'. :)

Last
night I woke up not feeling so hot. But Thomas got me my anti-nausea medicine (all 3 of them) and this morning he made me a bowl of oatmeal and toast so I'm feeling better. One day at a time. Today I plan to veg around and drink lots of liquid. Gotta stay hydrated.

Check out Tom & I's new little friend. While Penny was here, she discovered we had a new little friend in the backyard- a hummingbird! It hovered over her head for a few seconds one day so I decided a had to get a feeder for him. We hung it just outside our bedroom window which is just amazing because he's there all the time! Tom set the camera up on the tripod and took this amazing pictures. (click on the picture for a slideshow)

I have a wonderful friend who is into all things New Agey and a couple of years ago, after I totld her about spotting a heron day after day for weeks on end, the same great big blue heron... she suggested maybe it was a totem animal sent to deliver a message to me. Now, I''m not sure I totally by into all that, but you know. comtemplating my heron encounters and thinking thoughtfully about all the animals I encountered in the course of my walks provided a kind of incredible peace and made the world seem more intimate and rare. So maybe Bobby is your totem animal of the moment, like the butterflies outside the B&B. I googled totem animals (or spirit animals) and found this about a hummingbird. I think it really speaks about what you're experiencing, but you be the judge:

Joy

Life is a wonderland of delight -
darting from one flower to another,
tasting the sweet nectar and
radiating the colors of the rainbow.

Hummingbird a symbol for accomplishing that
which seems impossible.
It can teach you how to find the
miracle of joyful living in your own life.

Hummingbird medicine is herbal;
it shows us how to use flowers for healing.
They teach us how to draw life essence from flowers
and create your own medicines.

This totem reminds us to explore the past
and extract the sweetness from it.
It can help you find joy and sweetness in any situation.
Grab joy as swiftly as you can.

Hummingbird reminds us to find the joy in what we do
and to sing it out."
