The Weekend

Friday night I babysat for a great family. They use to live down the street but recently moved to an old historic house in town as the dad has been assigned to head pastor of a local church. They have two boys, 10 & 7 and a little girl who is one. Saturday I went shopping downtown and found some great birthday gifts for family members and then went to the commissary for groceries.

Today I decided to spend the afternoon at the beach.
Beach
I haven't been in awhile and the sunshine was calling my name.
It was so relaxing and much needed.
Ocean
It was super windy. The sand was blowing like crazy but the breeze was awesome.

When I got home I started in on the kitchen. I have all of the cabinets primed with the first coat. I still have a couple more doors to do and then a second coat. That's on my to-do list for tomorrow.

It's hard not being around family for the Labor Day weekend. Tom's dad invited me up to their house but with gas prices so high I really don't have the extra money to make the drive. I really appreciate how supportive they are. I don't know what I would do without them being so close. I did partake in the Labor Day festivities alone and grilled out. It was great!
