Good Times

It's been a whole week since my last post....sorry bout that. I wanted to enjoy every second H was here. :)

What a great week! I absolutely had the best time with Heather here. It has been so long since we've gotten to just hang out by ourselves. I remember why she is my best friend. We are so much alike and that's comforting.

We did a ton of shopping. Lets just say her suitcase was 3 pounds over the weight limit- Delta let it slide. Thanks Delta man! Heather starts teaching 6th grade in a couple of weeks. This is her first very own classroom! She needed lots of professional wear- that's what we tell the husband at least. We only got to go to the beach once because of rain. So sad. We went downtown on Saturday to a local bar to see a one man band play. Chris Jones was his name and man was he good. I requested some Jack Johnson and he played one of my favorite songs. We also ran into some of the other wives from the Squadron. It was nice for her to meet them. I took her to Tom and I's favorite seafood place, Docksides. It's right on the Beaufort River and has shrimping boats docked right in front. We shared the Captain's Platter and had ritas.

I'm sad she is gone but so happy she got to come. She's thinking about coming again in October with her husband. I would love that. Having her here has made me realize how much I really do miss my family. How much I would love to beable to attend the cookouts Tom and I's sisters have with their husbands. How fun it would be to all go out together. Raise our babies together. We'll see what the future holds.

Oh and, it's been a whole month since Tom left. Yes! One month down!
