UPDATE:
The surgery went well and my momma is recovering. She is having a hard time keeping things down but the doctor thinks it is a side effect of the new blood pressure medicine they switched her to. She should get to go home tomorrow if all goes well! Thank you all for your prayers! :)
My momma has been in and out of the hospital the last couple weeks due to what her and the doctors thought was horrible acid reflux- which has been an ongoing problem for some time now. She would have chest pains, her esophagus would burn, she was throwing up....a lot of it stress induced. She had an upper GI scheduled for tomorrow but ended up back in the ER on Sunday. Yesterday they did the upper GI to discover her esophagus was not damaged as original thought. The doctor then had an ultrasound done on her gallbladder to find she has gallstones. Today she is going to have her gallbladder removed. I am so glad to know what the problem is. She has been in a lot of pain and discomfort. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today as she undergoes surgery and pray for a speedy recovery.

Bless her heart, I feel her pain. I had undiagnosed gallbladder attacks for over a year, in and out of the ER. Seriously, thought I was going crazy until a doctor finally figured out what was wrong. Your mom will feel so much better soon!
I know how she feels, I went through the same thing this past Nov. in and out of the hospital. They can't take mine out till baby is born. I will say a prayer for your family and ask God to watch over your mom.

I hope your momma gets feeling better soon and has a speedy recovery! I bet it was such a relief to finally know what was causing all of that discomfort.
My Honey went through gall bladder surgery a few years ago and all was well afterwards. Good luck to your mama. My prayers are with her and glad she will soon find relief.
Sometimes the bloating and nausea is from the air they injected if they did the lap kind of surgery. But she should be feeling pretty good after about 3 dyas.
Oh Alison...This sounds so familiar! I will definitely keep her and your entire family in our prayers. She may have a little bit of a recovery time but she'll make it through with flying colors and be up and at 'em in no time. Keep us posted!
Lots of love and best wishes-Meredith Stone
Praying for your Mom and hoping she is well soon....!
