Yay It's Saturday!

And I'm up early, as in 7:00 early- never happens. I guess I'm just excited it's the weekend. And I've got lots to do.

Yesterday I did have to get a blood and platelet transfusion. My counts were down on Wednesday at my weekly check. They aren't typically low until next week and do not need a transfusion until then. My white cells are low too so the doctor prescribed an antibiotic for precautionary measures. I'm not sure why they were low so soon but I'm feeling great!

The new 'diet' is going well. We are eating less processed foods and more fruits and veggies. I've been in the mood for soups lately so I made vegetable soup last weekend and potato soup last night. So good. It's not the best thing for the 'diet' since it's cooked veggies (raw are better for you) but not bad. It's all about making choices. I've found the key is to not buy it. Stick to the produce section and a few other healthy things. No walking down every isle and being tempted by all the nastiness. Avoid the sections of the store you know you are going to be tempted by. And always have a bar of 70% dark chocolate around which is allowed. :)

Thursday night I had a wives' coffee and made these cute little monogram cards for the hostess, Jennifer. One of the wives Stacey had a baby girl, Kaira, a couple weeks ago and brought her along. She's so tiny and precious! I just love babies. T and I brought dinner over to her and her husband last night- potato soup with cheese on top, fresh bread and baked apples. Yummo. It just sounds like Fall. Being around a baby makes me excited to live closer to family. My sister Heather is due in 3 weeks!
I also made this K last weekend. I'm obsessed with Ks. I bought the K at Hobby Lobby which was just white. I then painted the edges black and traced it onto the silver paper. I used mod podge to glue it on and also put a couple coats of it over the paper. Now I just need to find the perfect place for it.
I hope y'all have a great weekend!
