Someone Got A New Haircut!!!

Thanks to the most AMAZING friend EVER- Kimberly- I got pampered last night...cut & HIGHLIGHTS! As most of you know, I was supposed to lose my hair last December when I started my new chemo treatment- that's why I cut it so short to begin with- and NEVER did! It's an absolute miracle I haven't. Dr. Chahin is always asking me how I'm keeping it in. Mind you, it has gotten a lot thinner but I still have it. And the parts that have thinned are actually growing back in- I've got little baby hairs- it's cute. :) I've been wanting to get it highlighted for some time now but have been scared to since I'm still doing chemo and didn't know how it would react to the chemicals. Last time I got it cut, Rebecca- who by the way- is AWESOME and if you live in the Beaufort area should go see her at Charles & Company, she suggested I wait a couple months to get it highlighted to let some of the baby hair grow out more. Then I got scared again- I just felt and still do feel so lucky to have it and didn't want to do anything to jeopardize that. Kimberly and I had talked about it so she knew it was something I wanted to do. Last Monday Kimberly was going to take me for a little surprise but I had a migraine and had to cancel. I wanted to get my hair did before the Marine Corps Ball so I made an appointment. When I went to pay, Rebecca told me it was taken care of....what!? I immediately knew it was Kimberly. How sweet of her! She didn't even know I had made the appointment but Rebecca had called her to let you know I was there. I've got the best friends ever.


So as you can see, my hair didn't fall out! YAY! The color really isn't too different- we put blond highlights and lowlights in it so I don't have to get it done too often. And I really like the spikies in the back- sassy! I feel like I have a real haircut now- not just my hair is short because I'm sick. Thank you again Kimberly. :)
