Yesterday I had to get blood again. I'm not sure what's going on with needing blood all the time. Usually I can go at least six weeks without it. But there have been times when I've needed it every week. I'm still feeling well so I shouldn't complain. I just don't like sitting for six hours. I'm such an impatient person. I am really grateful and thankful for those of you who donate. I never realized how important it is to do so until I got sick and needed it. I think that is how a lot of things go. It sounds so clique but it's so true. It's such a simple task and one I hope more people do because of my story. Donating blood equals lives saved. What a great feeling that is.

I didn't have a very good night last night. I was up with acid reflux and nausea. My chest felt like someone was jumping on it and every time I moved I thought I was going to get sick- which I did once but then found some awesome anti-nausea medicine. It totally knocked me out. I wish I would have found it sooner than 2:00. I'm feeling a lot better today. I think it was the Pizza Hut Thomas and I had on the 4th and then again yesterday for lunch. I never had acid reflux until I got sick. Both of my parents have it and my sister. I never thought it could hurt so bad. I get an episode about once a month. All I can do is try to sleep through it. Not fun at all.

The kitchen is looking great! I love it. It's so bright. We bought white appliances from our friends the McDermotts to replace the black ones which totally makes a difference. Love it! And last night we bought a new hutch and sideboard. Yes, I brand new piece of furniture! Not something Thomas revamped. I can't say everything in our house is a thrift store find now. We made new curtains but still need to find rugs. We are having a hard time choosing a secondary color to go with the turquoisey blue. I like red but it makes it look a little more 50s than cottage.
The orange kitchen BEFORE.

And AFTER. New white appliances and paint job.

The new hutch and sideboard.

The inspiration for the new back splash color- Ross find.

Magnets I made from scrapbook supplies. I used chipboard for the letters and traced the paper to fit and glued them on-the same for the star. The faith, hope and peace are metal and I just glued magnets to the back.

The curtains Thomas and I made from longer ones we already had.

I can't believe how dark looking the orange was! It looks so much bigger and lighter now... -T-

Kitchen looks great! If you acid reflux keeps up, you may want to make sure it isn't actually your gallbladder (assuming you still have it). Tight, contraction, like feelings - makes you wonder if you are having a heart attack or what the heck is going on. Mine always stabs in the middle of my back when it sets in. Hope you feel better soon though!

Try plain old soda crackers if the reflux isn't too bad....and about your kitchen, looks very fresh and crisp. Why not try a bright lemon-y yellow, or if you don't like that, a medium tan to pick up the shade in your tile floor.

Snazzola on the kitchen! Not so much on the nausea... you're a lot tougher than I would be.
