Above are some of my latest creations. I seem to be too scared and overwhelmed to start a scrapbook so I've been sticking to the small scale of cards which isn't so scary. I'm not in love with all of the cards but I'm getting better and just love being creative.
This weekend Thomas and I went to Penny and Colin's to keep Penny company while Colin attended the nascar race. So nice and relaxing! Loved it! They have a screened in back porch that overlooks the pool and beautiful landscaping which is where we spent most of our time. Saturday night Jack and Jan came over for dinner and dessert. I made my famous molten lava cakes which everyone loved! :) Sitting on the porch eating a chocolaty dessert and watching the storm....it couldn't get any better! It was great to get away even just for the weekend. A new surrounding can rejuvenate you in so many ways- and I needed some rejuvenation.
Guess who's going home to Indiana for two weeks??? ME! I bought my plane ticket last week and will be leaving on Wednesday until the 29th. I'm so excited to see the family. My niece Chas will be turning a year old the beginning of June so we're having a birthday party for her Memorial Day weekend. And since my birthday is on the 30th (of May), we will do a little celebrating for me too. :) The day after I get back I start another round of chemo. (Yeah, my birthday!)
Congratulations to Darin and Darcy on the birth of their first baby- Adelyn Grace born Thursday night. I'm so happy and excited for them!

The cards are cute! And that is great that you are coming home for a few weeks. That will be a nice time for you. It must be in the air - we are heading home Wed. as well. Enjoy your time here - and gets lots of pictures of the new baby.
The cards are rad! I love them, great to see your creative aura flowing :) Did you actually sew the buttons on, cause I tried some sticky buttons and they fell off. Maybe one of your scrappy friends can come over and help you get started on the bigger stuff. Jan
J- I did sew on the buttons only on the 'Hi' card. After that, I decided it took too long and just used little sticky dots called Zots. You can get them at Walmart. They will hold um. :)
I love them. Love the vibrant colors! Have a wonderful time back home!
I love your cards aswell. Have a great time with your family honey. xx
