As you may have read from Thomas' blog, we left a week early for Indiana than expected. Dr. Chihan thought it would be best if we go before I start my new round of chemo so that's what we did. We ended up leaving last Tuesday and getting back Christmas Day. The trip went okay- I hurt most of the time. My hips were killing me and I had to use the walker to get around. But I had lots of family around to help me out. I will post pictures soon.
I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

Glad you are back safe. Hate to hear that you were hurting a bunch. You are a trooper...that is for sure!
Keep us posted on the new plan. We are still praying for you!
hey, sweetie girl, i so wanted to come see you while you and tom were in indiana, but i ended up having a tummy virus and lived in the bathroom for three days ( including Christmas day)! I have three little lady friends that live in a nursing home near my house and almost every evening i go visit and help them get ready for bed, well, i've been printing tom and your blogs and have started reading them to the ladies, while i was sick i got 8 phone calls to see if i was able to come and read to them! They did inquire about my health a couple of times! Minnie (one of the little ladies) calls you guys Dale Evans & Roy Rogers. I know this is way before your time, but Roy Rogers was the heart throb of the wild west!! And every girl and woman wanted to be Dale.

SO glad you had a good time up here! I went to Thomas's blog and saw the gorgeous picture of you and your sisters.. that is such an amazing picture!
GOOD LUCK with your new treatments. I'll pray healing and relief is in sight.
Hello Alison,
My name is Vanessa. I have never commented here before. I'm from Ireland and I found your blog through your sister-in-law Penelope's blog (where I've never commented either, incidentally :)
I just want to wish you well with your new treatment and let you know that I've been reading your blog and Tom's for a while now and am in awe at the beautiful loving bond you share, at your courage and endurance through these tough times, your faith, your beauty and your always sweet and positive attitude.
A blogger friend of mine, Shaz (http://shazz27.blogspot.com/), who is also in treatment at the moment, recently posted links to this website (http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Home), which I thought might be of interest to you. I'm sure you and Tom have read up plenty already but it might be a new source of hints and support.
I wish you all the best in your ongoing treatment and just wanted to let you know that, although I don't know you personally, I've got you in my thoughts and I'm wishing for your speedy recovery.
Love,
Vanessa
