Warm Fuzziness

What a busy time of year. I love being busy but love being at home more....I can't believe there is only one more week until we leave for home....and Christmas will be all over when we get back. So sad. I just love watching Christmas movies with all the Christmas lights glowing, hot cocoa in hand....the warm fuzziness that comes with this time of year. Such a great time to reflect on all of our blessings and what the true meaning of Christmas is.

My dad was in town visiting for about a week. We didn't do much- took naps, watched Young and the Restless together- he was asking a lot of questions about who was married to who and who was who's baby's daddy, I worked on Christmas cards while he played with his gps system.....good times. It was great having him here. It was hard for him to leave the 70 degree weather for cold and snowy Indiana. I'm not so sure I'm looking forward to that either. Although this record breaking hotness we have been experiencing here in the South isn't doing anything for my holiday spirit. I would like it cold and snowy just for the month of Decemember please.

Our Christmas cards are all done and ready for mailing. All 80 of them. Yes, I made 80 Christmas cards. And really there's more people I'd like to send one to....

On Monday I have a CT scan- a couple weeks shy of my regular 3 month scan. This is the day I should be starting my next round of chemo. I'll get the results on Wednesday. If everything is still stable with no changes, I plan to start my 'chemo vacation'. T and I have done a lot of praying and talking and it just feels like the right time. It feels right. Please continue to keep me in your prayers....that the cancer is still stable, that it will continue to stay stable without any drugs, that I will continue to stay strong.....

And a big CONGRATULATIONS to my friend Kimberly on passing her final nursing exam! She's offically passed the course and will be pinned on Monday afternoon. Yay! It's been a long 3 years with twin little girls and a very busy husband in the Marine Corps. I am so very proud of her. Ms. Kimberly, the RN!
