- Ali was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer (Neuroendocrine Small Cell) when she was 25 years old. Her battle with cancer was one more way her beauty shined through. She was grace and strength. Her faith and spirit are what drives her husband, family and friends. Tom's still writing at "Our Lady, Star of the Sea."

Very moving. I gain strength from reading his parents' posts on the care page. What a strong young man in a horrible situation.
I cried actually hearing him speak. It makes the blog entries even that more real and not just words on a page. I liked his definition of a miracle - that is one that I will always remember.
