I had such a great time with my sister Heather. I miss her already. We went to the beach, shopped downtown, ate homemade peach ice cream at Southern Sweets (which is becoming a tradition), shopped at the outlet mall for maternity clothes, and just hang out. We are really close and it's been hard living so far away from each. Especially now that I'm sick. She's been great at visiting which I totally appreciate. Her and her husband are thinking about coming down again in October. She'll be way pregnant by then! How exciting!
Tomorrow Thomas gets promoted to CAPTAIN! I'm so proud of him....of his dedication and hard work. This will be his first promotion I get to see and I can't wait! Congratulations sweetie!

- Ali was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer (Neuroendocrine Small Cell) when she was 25 years old. Her battle with cancer was one more way her beauty shined through. She was grace and strength. Her faith and spirit are what drives her husband, family and friends. Tom's still writing at "Our Lady, Star of the Sea."

It is good to have a big sis'. I am so glad you got to spend time with her. I can relate to how you miss your family. This is the hard part about our military life. Love ya girl! Give the old man a "Congrats" ont he promotion! Now hurry up and go find a way to spend the extra money$$$$$$! HA!

Contragulations Thomas! Way to go!! That is wonderful news! I know what you mean about being away from family. My sister in law that I am close to doesn't live in the same state as me and it's hard. But, hey thank goodness we have the phones and internet. I am glad that you had a good time.
