The Girls, The Bedroom and Christmas Time

I know, I know.....it's about time I blog. I just haven't been in the mood. I have been wanting to share what an amazing time I had with the girls though. Having 3 of your very best friends with which you haven't seen in over 4 years at your house for the weekend is just the greatest! It seriously was like no time had passed at all. Yeah, we were sitting in my house with my husband unlike earlier years were we would be sitting in out tiny as heck sorority house room instead but other than that, everything seemed the same. We talked about anything and everything. Catching up on what the other has been doing, gossiping.....the usually girly things. The time was short and I wish we had longer but I am so glad they got to spend the time they did here. Another trip is in the works for May around my birthday and I can't wait. This trip brought us close again and for that I'm forever grateful.

In other news, I decided our bedroom needed a new paint job. I've been unhappy with the looks of our room for some time. It just didn't have that warm cozy feeling I wanted. So today I found a picture in a designer book Penny brought with her this weekend and decided to change it- well, have Thomas change it. Off to the paint store Penny and I went. I found a color similar to the one in the book and just feel in love. Bless Thomas' heart- he's been hard at work all day taking down curtains, moving furniture, and painting. It's almost done now and I'll be sure to post pictures once the room is all in order.

I can't believe Christmas is in a week! We are going to travel the 15 hours back home to Indiana this year. My momma is just ecstatic. I haven't been home since April and it seems longer than that. I have chemo the day after Christmas which just isn't right but what can I do. So we have to wait to get Becky off (my pump for those who don't remember) which will be Thursday and then head out. I'm a little nervous to be in cold weather right after chemo because of my cold sensitivity. Thomas bought me new snow boats and I still need new gloves and a hat. Although my momma said it's not even supposed to snow for Christmas there! And it's been in the 50s lately which is just crazy for Indiana in December. I hope it stays that way- I don't think I'll have a problem if it does.

So glad you enjoyed your visit with the girls. Yes, Indiana weather has been crazy lately - we were just commenting on that today while we were out shopping with no jackets, hats, or gloves. It is great but at the same time I know that it won't feel like Christmas.

Hey girl,
Just checking in.Ever since you gave me you blog site at BMH I have been checking in on you. Sounds like you guys are busy and company has been fruitful. I am so happy that you are getting visitors. Breaks up the day to day grind.
Anyhow, the girls and I are sitting here and I thought I would type you a quick one. We want to see you guys. The girls say hi and miss you. Let me know, we can do do dinner and game night and if you are not up to coming here we can bring it to you. Just let us do the work.
I am on vacation now, so shoot me a call and maybe we can whip out good old Martha, for a cookie/ christmas ornament party.
As for the Chemo, if/when you loose your hair you can have mine. We can go to Charles and get a cut togther. That will be my gift to you. Lord knows I have enough to spare. You just will have to decide whether you want that long sleaky look or short and sassy. Either way it's yours. Say hi to Tom.

Love ya,
Kimberly

Visiting you was so much fun! It was so great seeing you and I love your cute little house. It was perfect just hanging out and relaxing. You and Tom are such great hosts. :) Can't wait to see you next and I hope your Christmas is fantastic. And I hope it stays warm just for you...even though I like snowy Christmases. ;) Love you girly,
Court
