Root Beer Floats
How great it is to have family here! I love it! Tom thinks it's a little overwhelming- and I guess I can agree....7 extra people in the house is kind of crazy. But I love it! What else would I be doing if they weren't here, probably watching TV being bored. They are all at the beach right now so the house is quiet- time for my mind to relax. I've been feeling really well the last couple of days which is wonderful! I expect to feel well until next Monday when the next round of chemo begins. It's so great having it every 2 weeks- I think the week break is going to be key to my mental state. Tomorrow I get my procrit shot- which makes my arm hurt. It still hurts from last week. It increases my red blood cell count.....hopefully I won't need any. Taking four hours out of the day to get blood is getting old- necessary I know but boring. :) So I'm just relaxing at home enjoying the good meals and conversation with the family. Oh, and root beer floats- I had one last night after dinner and I think it's on the menu for lunch today. My favorite! Life is good. :)

Glad to hear that your spirits are up and that you are able to enjoy the time to spend with your family. I miss you Ali and am trying to figure out how to put pictures on the friends website to give everyone a chance to see what they can do with it.
Love you!

I love root beer floats! I will have to pick up the fixings so I can have one in honor of you.
I wish I could come see you both!
hmmmmmm...a root beer float is something I haven't had in a bit! I think I'll have to have one tomorrow. I like coke floats best, though!
Enjoy having the fam there. Good luck with the shot. Close your eyes and think about something wonderful. (I know, I kow---easier said than done! I always close my eyes when I get a shot....I FAINT...so the eye closing isn't really voluntary.)
Fiesty - that's great - :)
You have a great attitude, focusing on enjoying the little things while you get through the tough bits.
Sending you warm thoughts and prayers from a fellow survivor.
A root beer float is a universal good. Everyone should be issued one at some point in his life - at least one - and if I ran things, that's how it'd be.
Oh yeah, and procrit shots would feel like a backrub.
Yeah for a full house! It's a house full of love! Hope you are enjoying every possible minute of it.
