Beach Time & Cake

Yesterday was another great day- I made it to the beach with Tom, Heather and her husband Michael and received another amazing package in the mail!

The beach was wonderful....I hadn't been in a couple of months and Tom hadn't been since last year. The State had recently replenished the ever diminishing sand so it was about 40 feet wider than last and looked so different. We only stayed about an hour and a half because the horse flies were crazy! It felt so good to get some sunshine on my skin.

Later that day the UPS man delivered yet another beautiful package- this time from Wee- a friend of Penny & Colin's. Inside the cardboard box was a hat box wrapped in black satin with silk pink peonies (my FAVORITE) on top. Inside that box was a beautiful bouquet of hot pink roses stuffed inside a round little cake- the cutest little cake that smells oh so good! And a little heart charm bracelet to top it off!

The note reads, 'For Alison because when the going gets rough, the tough eat cake. That's my philosophy. Consider this a beautiful box of hope and wishes from all of your invisible internet support team. We're rooting for you! With much love, Wee'

How sweet is that!? Totally made my day! I just cannot believe all the love and support y'all are giving me! You sure do know how to make a girl happy! :)

But as happy as i am that you are happy with the gift, I'm even happier that you were feeling well enough to get out and enjoy the day at the beach! Hoping to hear LOTS more about days when you're feeling good and sunshiney!!!!

Love the black satin with that deep pink - so hot. It reminds of of the old Hollywood glamour, like Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
YEAH for the beach!Awesome to know you are able to get out with your family and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine...more great days ahead I just know it!

That package looks so "you-ish"-Jan. Everyone here in Michigan is asking how you are.

I just noticed Tom peeking around in the 2nd picture... As long as he is amusing himself! :)

I love getting gifts! Doesn't it just make you feel so good!

Matt cleaned the interior of my truck and it smells soooo good now! That was the best gift even though I can't drive!

Hope you are doing good!
