Ahh, you are too sweet. Parker is very proud to be on your blog! He especially liked the leftovers of fish just after Tom filleted them. YUCK!
And thanks Tom for helping me with my blog!
oh! Love the bags, They match your room and bathroom. Does that just happen when your surrounded by color? I am so glad you are liking your book and journal (pretty!)And breakfast looks yummy too!
Yey, Vera B!
I know it will be kind of sad to leave such a pretty place...maybe Tom can fit the claw foot tub in teh trunk and bring it back for your bathroom! We all know he has mad skills!
Excited you'll be home soon! You've been missed.
You have the coveted java blue print.. I'm salivating over here!! Or it may be that breakfast picture..
Another item that has potential for your list:
Candied Ginger. It's great for settling stomachs and easing nausea. Plus? It's candy! (Well, health food store "candy")
Back from out of town and just checking in....
loved your sleepover post! Isn't it crazy how as we get older we forget the joys of such simple things such as staying up all night like we used to as kids! I used to be a crazy night owl....now my eyes are slamming shut before King of Queens is over!
Something that makes me happy...your positive attitude! It's unreal.
Alison, I just read Thomas's latest post, typed this whole long comment, got to the bottom where I was to enter my info., and discovered he has it set up so only people with Blogger accounts can post comments. ACK! So I did a cut & paste and jumped over here to see if you've set yours up differently -- thank goodness you have. Anyway, here was my comment ... (sorry it refers to you in the third person!)
I know someone who had a stem-cell transplant about 5 years ago, and she is healthy now and thriving. She had Multiple Myeloma, though, discovered during some routine bloodwork when she was going in for a surgery. I'm wondering now why the stem cell transplant worked in her case, and why it didn't reintroduce the cancer.
Is the reason the doctor says they would inevitably collect Alison's cancer cells and give them back to her because Alison's cancer is in her bones? I'm guessing that must be why, and that Multiple Myeloma must attack a different part of the body, but I can ask my friend about her stem-cell procedure, or doctors, if it's of any interest. I believe her doctors were at Columbia in NYC.
BTW, I found you through Penelope's blog when she first posted about this, and I was so gripped I had to go back through the archives to get to the beginning of the story. I have been a daily visitor since, pulling for you both and cheering you on. You are both so brave and courageous.
Blessings ...
Yes, the cancer is in her bones. In fact, we are told 90 percent of her marrow cells are cancerous. That's why they do not like that course of action. Multiple Myeloma is what I thought Alison would be diagnosed with at first. It really met her symptoms. It's serious stuff!
Thanks for the encouragement.
love your happy list :) breakfast in bed...YUM!!
