I Do Have Friends Here

Last night I had a "Wives Coffee"........A gathering of all the officers' wives in the squadron. I met S at her house and then she drove to the COs house. It was so nice to be around women who are going through the same thing. There are some great women in the squadron who I really can see myself being life-long friends with. We drank wine, ate, talked and talked and talked, and were updated on what's new with the guys in Japan. I didn't get home until 11:30!!! But it was so worth it. Sometimes I feel like I don't have any friends here in Beaufort but after a wives function, I know that's not true.

I'm not feeling so hot today. I feel like I could be really getting sick. My throat hurts, my body aches, I'm freezing........why isn't T here to take care of me?

I bought my plane ticket to come home for Lauren's wedding (T's little sister) today. I'm flying out on Wednesday the 14th of September and staying until Sunday. I can't wait to see everyone!! I haven't been home home since Christmas. I did go to Indianapolis in March for my sister's wedding. I'm so excited to see my niece who is now 10 months old and WALKING! I'm really looking forward to the wedding and seeing all of T's family. It's going to be sad though without him there. I know he really wishes he could be.
